We have become aware of the unauthorized use, reproduction, and appropriation of images, and audiovisual content in advertisements, platforms, job boards, and other such companies.
We have changed our name, but our mission remains the same. We are committed to unlocking and maximizing the potential of young women to lead transformational change.
At MAIA we celebrate the journeys of Lidia Oxí and Andrea Coché—two remarkable Indigenous women whose leadership is driving impact across Guatemala and beyond. As Lidia transitions to a new role with World Connect, Andrea steps in as MAIA’s CEO, leading us into an exciting new chapter.
MAIA is an organization that seeks to generate systemic change by empowering Indigenous women and youth in Guatemala. We emphasize our commitment to empowering women and girls through a unique educational model.
At MAIA, we are a team of committed, enthusiastic, and brave women and girls. We are determined to redefine our and families trajectory , we believe that a profound change is possible so we can live with dignity and equity.
Appropriate that my first blog in MAIA relates to my departure. This communication will hopefully help you understand the intricacies of MAIA’s most recent leadership transition.
