It’s time for change. Answer the Girl Pioneers’ call to action.

In Guatemala, a staggering 48% of Indigenous women can’t read or write, and only 2 out of 10 graduate from high school. Poverty and inadequate infrastructure deny them an education, perpetuating a cycle of exclusion and hardship. This stark reality can’t be ignored any longer.

MAIA Girl Pioneers, as we call our students, are igniting a powerful call to action and saying out loud: It’s time for change and It is time for all of us to answer their call! It’s time to advocate for the right of girls and women to receive an education and lead lives filled with dignity and opportunity. Will you answer their call?

In 2024, a new generation of Girl Pioneers is setting out on a transformative journey to craft a brighter future. One where each year of school increases their income by 20%, improves their health and increases the likelihood of educating their families. With your donation, they will have access to the opportunities they need to and become a generation of empowered and educated Indigenous women who will transform their own lives and, in doing so, unleash a ripple effect that will shape a better world for us all.
